JYC - 25th December

I spent last night creating this double layout. It took a while sticking all those squares down, but the end result made it worthwhile. I love the way this layout looks - think I may have to do it again!!...With different photo's and a different theme!!! This style of layout is super for giving an over view of the year and a great way of making use of all those photos you had printed, that never actually made it onto a layout (I'm very quilty of that one)

Brain Freeze

Who suffers from Brain Freeze when they eat an ice-cream?

Back in the summer, at the Cotswold's Wild Life Park, I was trying to capture the perfect shot of the boys eating their ice-creams, when Harry squealed in pain. I couldn't resist taking shots of him (I know!!! a terrible mother!!!)....still it didn't stop him continuing to eat it..... and I got some super pictures to scrap.

The background in this Photograph of "incrediable Stan" was not one I wished to have in a LO, so cutting him out was the best option.

And Jack when his first tooth fell out. You would never know from this photo that Jack cried his eyes out when the tooth actually came out. With his face all red and blotchy and the mention of the tooth fairy, he soon recovered and hence I got a lovely picture (a rather dark one!!)

JYC 9th and 16th December

Yes, i'm still working on my Christmas Journal. Here are pages 9 and 16. Off hand I cannot remember the prompt for day 16, but once again I put it onside to scrap what actually happened on December 16th. I do hope to fininsh the journal this week, i'm just waiting for some prints to arrive after eventually getting around to sending them off.

JYC 14, 15 and 18th December

More layouts from my Christmas Journal...and a not so nice photo of me!

In the last nine years I can honestly say I have never lost interest in Scrapbooking. I loose inspiration, I lack ideas and on occasions other pressures take over, but I always come back to my photographs, stash and LO's. In a household of boys it keeps me sane......just!

At the last crop we spoke about ways of getting back into our scrapbooking about, maybe, starting a new project/topic. I've updated the list of blogs/websites I look at to gain inspiration. Shimelle is great when it comes to projects, she always has fabulous ideas and online classes. On the 15th of January, she's starting a free mini class on her blog, I'm looking forward to seeing what she's got up her sleeve. She's also been talking about a photo a day on her blog and whilst this is a huge project to undertake, you could do your own version. Ali Edwards also has details on her blog to create "a week in the life". There is so much you can document, capture and create.

Did i mention stash, which is taking over my dinning room, study and spare bedroom. I'm waiting for my darling husband to start moaning about not being able to see the dining room table again....so far he has restrained from commenting. When he does I will just have to show him this scraproom. Not sure it will make a difference but it may plant a tiny winy seed!
