Inspiration

I've taken a break from studying to post some links to the most fab tutorials.

Let me know what you think about these....

1. The fab Christine Middlecamp has a layout on the cratepaper site, were she gives you her tips and techniques for creating a layout just like hers...........it really is worth checking out.

2. Mary Anne from UKS has tutorial on her blog, on how to make a flower loom and flowers. The flowers are beautiful but I'm not sure I've got the patients to make the loom!

3. Helen, also from UKS has a tutorial on her blog on how to make a collage from scraps....this is one I will be trying out.

and for something different:-

4. I found this link on how to make a shadow box.........an excellent project to make with the boys....Pirates... spring to mind.

5. To get you started on the card making front I found this video.... which I thought might be a good way of getting started.

...and if you don't already now Shimelle has a new class starting soon check out her site for details.......

Better get back to my reading.........will be back at the weekend with another sketch. Enjoy your weekend.

Ally's Craft Cabin

I always struggle to make cards...I have attempted them on a few occasions and then given up. with no photo for inspiration I find creating a card quiet the challenge.

Ally has kindly posted details on her blog of a card class she has recently taken. I'm have to say I'm very tempted......

Check out Ally's blog to see her creations and if you're interested in the class she has added a link to the site (Stamp with Us) in her side bar. I especially like Ally's gift box and notelets...they're gorgeous.

Leaving you with a rather pink layout of Stanley and Megan.......who are both covered in felt tip pen (I don't think you can see this from the photo!).....my fault for leaving them alone in the garden for a few minutes while I made lunch.

Flowers

This has been a week for flowers.........for the first time in twenty years my darling husband brought me a bunch of red roses for valentines day! I have to say I was shocked and surprised and yes, I did take some photos....it'll probably be another twenty years before I get another bunch so I wanted a reminder lol!

1. metal flower tutorial - I've had some craft metal for a while and once in a while it comes out of the cupboard, I open it, stare at it, decide I really don't now what to do with it and put it back in the cupboard. Seeing this tutorial has inspired me to have another go....if it works out okay I'll let you know.

2. SJ - has a lovely swirly flower tutorial on her blog too.

A finished layout to share with you all.

(Patterned papers BO Bunny and My Minds Eye, MM ribbon, Chipboard flowers and MME die cut flowers. Love Elsie letters)
Thanks for stopping by...enjoy your weekend.

Christine Middlecamp

Christine is one of my favorite scrapbookers, her pages are loaded....really really loaded. I hope she doesn't mind that I've posted a picture of her current layout here. If you visit her blog you'll see the depth involved with this layout. There are also instructions on how to put this layout together yourself........I think I might just have to give it a go....although I already know it will look nothing like this one. Please pop across to her blog so you can see what I'm rattling on about.
Now, do I really want to show you another one of the layouts I created this weekend. It's rather flat and dull in comparison....but does have a little depth to it lol! The journalling is to go under the title. I should journal before taking a photo!!

(papers and journalling blog by Minds Eye, Abbey Road)

Shimelle is calling for page submissions, so I you fancy seeing your favorite layout in print, click on her name to be taken across to her blog.
