Sian's Story Telling Sunday

Southsea August 1993

As we strolled along the sea front we stopped, leaned against the wall and waited for our photo to be taken. The sudden noise made us turn around........surely not.......... an aircraft.......and it flew right past us.........really......... right past us!
  We stood in amazement.
For the rest of the day we wondered if this aircraft was supposed to have flown so close to the beach.

How lucky were we to get this photo too, if the camera hadn't already been posed, I wouldn't be here telling this story.

The next day the newspaper gave us all the details and from what I can remember the pilot of this irresponsible flyby was arrested.   Now somewhere filed away in the loft is the said newspaper article. Next time I'm up there I'll be sure to hook it out.

This story is brought to you as part of Sian's Storytelling Sunday.
