Sports....

Whether it be Olympic related or school sports day why not join in with this months challenge over at SJ Crafts.

You can find all the details here
I didn't want to disappoint you all :) with rugby a huge sport in our house it was obvious (to me) what kind of sport I would scrap.

Throughout the rugby season I take a zillion photos of the boys playing. From this zillion I have a handful of firm favourites and this photo is one of them.

I don't think for a second it is a technically correct photo what with shadows and a man drinking his coffee in the background ....
but all the same.....
I love it. It captures Stan's expression and concentration in anticipation of the ball being passed out to him.
As this was Stan's last season playing tag rugby the title was perfect. And as I worry that my little man with be joining the other two playing full contact.......he can't wait!!

  1. It's a wonderful picture - you can just see the anticipation on his face, it's the same expression you see on someone at the start of a race. And a wonderful page - I love how the twine ties it all together

  2. I didn't notice the man drinking coffee until you pointed him out - too busy looking at the concentration in Stan's face. love the layers and twine.

  3. I think the photo is suitably blurred and stuff! I like that you used non sporting supplies for this too.

  6. Great snapshot - stylish scrapping. I must hunt down some of those date hexagons. Great page (even if it is about sports) - actually it's not so much about rugby as it is about him, is it?

  10. The photo looks perfect to me, your DS is the focus of the photo. The papers are a great match to the theme of your page.

  13. Gorgeous page and I think it is a fantastic photo! I always think the faces and the feeling photos evoke are way more important that wether they have perfect backgrounds, allignment or light etc. I am so with you on worrying about the full contact rugby, my eldest started that this year and omgosh has he come home with some bruises! Totally stresses me out lol :)

  17. Oh, by happy co-incidence, I was looking at this beautiful layout over on SJ's blog earlier today and thought I'd have to look you up. And you know, I never noticed the imperfections of the photograph - just it's main focus! x
