Echo Park Collection Kits & Giveaway

When Sarah sent me the Echo Park for the Record collection kit I started to put some thoughts together on what I wanted to use the kit for. I had recently thought about documenting some things about the boys and paired their notes and mine to recent photos.

Also inspired by Clair from Obstinate Pursuit and her recent stitching on paper series I thought i'd try to tie each layout together with stitching. Harder than it seems, especially when you are the type that has a tendency to wander. So focus I said to myself......papers first....journaling second.....and stitching third. It seemed to work lol!

I have previously used these collection kits .... like making a mini book (using this and that Charming range) and interactive layouts (using the Note to Self Range). So just how far could I get with one collection kit and the five layouts I'd planned.

Sarah at SJ Crafts has shared the layouts this week.I am going to share the layouts here too, but if you'd like to see more and find out what (small) extra's I used on each layout then please pop across and while you are there you may wish to enter Sarah's giveaway to win your own collection kit.

1.My funny boy - who thrives on making everyone laugh.
 2. My don't like attention boy - in any shape or form.

  3. My fact boy - who always has a fact to share.

 4. My name spelt backwards is Yelnats boy!
5. My generous boy - he would give you his last rolo!

So do you think you could be tempted to use an Echo Park Collection kit?
If so which one would you like?
I know what one is next on my list!

Thank you to everyone that has already popped across to SJ Crafts and left a comment and thank you to Sarah for sending me the kit and Clair for inspiring me to get my sewing machine out!!

  1. Fab layouts Louise! You have lovely boys and seem to get along so well with them. The Stanley Yalnats one made me laugh as I teach the kids at school Holes and they we teach them all about 'palindromes' as his name is Stanley Yelnats backwards and forwards!

  4. Your layouts are absolutely STUNNING!!! I adore them all, and as for Ecco Park, well I simply couldn't choose a fave, they are ALL sooooo scrummy!!! Love the detail and sewing on your layouts. I recently treated myself to a sewing machine, hadn't a clue how to use it, but have managed to make a few simple things, like bunting and pin cushions, which I'm really chuffed with. I absolutely adore sewing on paper, looks fab!!! Suzie xxxx :)

  20. I love all these pages! The colours and papers are gorgeous and how you have used them is just fab. But for me it's the journalling and what you have recorded that is so beautiful. May have to borrow that idea for my two (when they are not arguing with each other which seems a daily occurence atm!) You have three lovely boys :)
