Amy Tangerine Plus one Collection

Hello Hello Hello, how are you all on this bright and sunny Friday afternoon?

Spring is in the air and I'm feeling good. We had birthday celebrations yesterday, No3 son is now in double figures. Tonight is cocktails, tomorrow is a 40th big family celebration, Sunday is Rugby (of course) and a family birthday meal. All in all a fun packed weekend, spending time with the people we love.

Today I'm here to tell you that SJ Crafts are sharing my post using Amy Tangerine's Plus One Collection.
I used photo's of me and hubby, taken when I first joined Instagram. We were on our way out and I was trying to get a selfie of us both.
It's such a bright, fun and funky collection. Please pop across and have a look.

Thanks for stopping by, have a lovely weekend x
P.S. If you are a facebook user SJ Crafts have a giveaway running at the moment that might interest you.

A World Showcase

I've had this draft post in my blogger for a while now......I had completely forgotten about it...until last night when Julia linked me into her recent Epcot post.

It is lovely to see how my layout inspired Julia to scraplift it....making changes to it that make it very much her own. A very gorgeous layout it is too. Thank you Julia

My Florida album is still very much a work in progress, although I am now down to the last few planned pages. It is, by far my most favourite album, the first one I have ever done from the beginning to the end of a holiday. Something I will definitely do again...... and again.

Here I used pocket pages ('s the way to go when you have lots of photos to include and record...) to showcase the World's we visited in Epcot. I kept it simple using a few scraps of paper, a chevron washi tape, cork arrows and Alpha's (sorry I can't remember which ones).

A stroll around England made me smile. The red telephone box, the postbox, the tea rooms and...... the Rose and Crown. I grew up and had my very first drink a "Landy Sharger" (no please...don't ask!) in our local pub. The Rose and Crown.

What was/is your local pub called?
If you've been to Epcot was there a part of your country that made you smile?

Thanks for stopping by....have a lovely weekend and wherever you are I hope the sun is shinning x

One Photo Twenty Words

Here the sun is shinning, the patio doors are open, dinners in the oven and we are all watching the England vs Wales Rugby game.
As I type we have scored our first try! whoop whoop!

We have already had a morning of Rugby with two match wins for No3 son, a loss for No2 son with him being presented with man of the match trophy..... (for the second week running - what a star!)   No1 son had a nail biting brilliantly played league game which they lost in the last two minutes down to a penalty...sob sob!!  All in all a lovely morning.

Today I'm joining in for another month with Abi at Creating Paper Dreams

A Friday afternoon lunch with six fabulous girls where we continuously laugh is a great way to end the week.

SJ Crafts March Challenge.

The March challenge over at SJ Crafts is to use this photo college as any way you wish.
When I first saw this photo college it made me think of the "weather". I'm sure that's because of how the weather has been affecting the coastlines recently. Sitting on the top of my "to scrap" pile were some photos from our Florida trip of Hurricane Sandy.
The blue sky and clouds was another thing I took from these photos.....
I was having a it's just now typing this that I've noticed that Hurricane Sandy was Oct 12 (Doh!!!) not 2013 as shown in this photo. I will be picking off the 13 first thing tomorrow morning!!

So...what were your first thoughts when you looked at this photo grid?!?
Have you taken something from it that has inspired you to join in with SJ Crafts Challenge?
I hope you have.

P.S. SJ Crafts New Design Team member Annie has kindly offering a prize this month to celebrate joining the S J Crafts team. She will select one person at random from all those who link up to the challenge to win a small prize!

Mulberry Paper Roses

 Happy Sunday to you all.

We all love flowers don't we. There's nothing nicer than a vase or two of pretty flowers to brighten up the house.  Recently it seems, I can't get enough of these kind of flowers....tiny itsy bitsy ones of the paper variety.

I wanted to use some on Birthday cards.
I kept the cards very simple...too simple maybe?
and I couldn't decide whether I preferred a frame, or not to frame.
How do you use your paper roses?
