Me on Monday

Gosh where did last week go. I haven't managed to write any posts all week...tut tut. I'm here today though, waving at all you Me on's.

The boys went back to school on Friday - hardly worth getting their uniform dirty for.  It was No3 son's first day at Secondary school and I was so nervous for him. He left the house with a big smile a met his friends to walk down to school. The awesome foursome as we call them.

Thankfully came home with a big smile and many funny stories. Long may it last.

The weekend was mainly one for the boys, the hubster worked all weekend. The fine weather meant he took his bike.  (He's a fair weather rider, if there's any chance that he might get his bike wet, he won't take it!!) No1 son was out socialising, No2 son was in the village playing footie,  he popped back when he was thirsty or hungry.  No3 son had some friends over who live outside the village. Two of them are his rugby pals, who he's now at school with, it was nice to see them together off the field.
Oh, I bought some Rye bread. I fancied a change. Next time I think I need a change I will be thinking twice. Who on earth eats this stuff (do you?). It was a unanimous decision, this stuff will never appear in the cupboard again :)

The Rugby season started yesterday. I have to say I wasn't looking forward to our Sunday's being taken over again - it was good to see them all so enthused at getting back and you know what. I did enjoy the morning. It helped that it was a glorious morning and whilst I hooked my boots out especially, I could have gotten away with wearing my flip flops it was so warm.
So it's Monday again and I'm off to work soon. Back to the normal routine of school and work.
Roll on Friday.....

Wishing you all a lovely Monday x

  1. Gorgeous boys. You're settling back into Autumn routines. I'm still waiting to start!

  2. I was thinking about you as I was watching the rugby at the weekend.

I'm delighted to hear that the first day of school went well. What a handsome team you have there!

    Have a great week Louise

  3. Such a handsome lot your boys are and ruby players to boot (no pun intended). School starts tomorrow (Tuesday) here but I doubt I will see any smiling faces on those waiting to board the school bus. I hope that Son 3 continues with smiles for school.

  4. Hope you had some time to relax over the weekend while all your guys were busy! Have a great week, Louise! :)

  5. a busy few months ahead for you, enjoy it xx

  6. Glad you had nice weather for the rugby. Am I a bad mother to be quietly glad my boys aren't into rugby or football (so I don't have to stand around on a weekend?)
Thanks for the info on Rye bread - it is the sort of think I think I ought to buy but I do like white sliced bread for my toast.
I spent yesterday bemoaning about my 3 growing up too fast but it is nice when they all take themselves off and you can have 'me time', so there is an upside to them getting older I guess. Have a super week x

  7. It looks and sounds like you had a lovely weekend xx

  8. Glad to hear your son enjoyed starting secondary school. Some lovely action shots! I'm looking forward to coming to you class on Friday evening. Barbxx

  9. You have a very good-looking lot there :). And nice to know they are happy and doing well. I admire your ability to stand and watch the games, I have to say ...

  10. I can honestly say I laughed out loud! I'm with you on the whole bread thing lol.

You've got a fabulous family Louise xxx

  11. Lovely shot of the three of them on your doorstep. Pleased that the first day went well and he's got friends there already. Have a great week and don't work too hard!

  12. Looks like you all had a good weekend, think I would leave the bread on the shelf as well! xx

  13. Sounds like a good weekend. Wookie likes Rye bread with strong cheese or a runny one. I don't like both ;)
