Good morning. I hope the sun is shining for you all.
Already I'm at work, it's an early start and a late finish for me today. Luckily my 'go to guy" is at home today so he'll be cooking dinner. At least that's something I don't have to worry about.
There's a story behind my husband renaming himself as "the go to guy". It has something to do with him constantly being asked to fix things or sort things out. For instance my friend pulls up outside the house and she asks him if he can straighten her number plate. My brother in laws calls to ask if he'll pop in to adjust his new toilet seat. My friends son calls around for him to polish out a scratch on his xbox disk. Then my dad gives him his broken petrol lawnmower, he get's it running like new, even offers it back, by which time my dad has already purchased a new one. Bonus, we get to keep the lawnmower.
I've lost count of the number of bike punchers he's fixed, and scooters he's tightened - not just for our boys but their friends too. Then there's the phone and iPads screen he's fixed, for others - not ours, ours are all still in tact. I can see why he felt the need to refer to himself as "the go to guy".
What about you - do you have a "go to guy" ?
Here we all are with our "go to guy"
Even though I'm not feeling the need to scrap at the mo, there are some stories i'd still like to record.
Thank you for your lovely comments on my new venture. Have a good week and i'll see you soon.

It’s been a while since I was here last, the rugby season has ended and for the first time this year I've had a whole weekend at home. It felt good. i'm now hoping to spend sometime catching up with you all.
A while back Clair invited me to join the counterfeit challenge team. I loved joining in and had hoped it would get me back into the swing of scrapping again.
Unfortunately this hasn’t happened, for a whole host of reasons really. As soon as I feel the need to scrap again I’ll be sure to let you know.
Instead I have diverted my energies elsewhere. I have found a love for beads and over the last year my bead collection has taken over my scrap stash. Not really ("Jokes" ....as No2 son would say). I did read an article though which suggested learning something new can keep your brain active and young. I figured I could do with the help.
It started here and as I now have more bracelets than i can possibly wear I’ve opened a little Etsy shop ....Facebook page and Instagram account. I’m not too good with all this social media stuff so it’s quite the challenge.
My shop name is EdieMaeDesigns and as a thank you to all you readers and commenters over the years I would like to send one of you a bracelet of your choice. If you leave a comment telling me what you like in my shop i’ll pick someone at the end of May.
Looking forward to catching up wth you all
